One of the assailants then snatched Pena’s gold chain as the other crooks held the duo at gunpoint, according to video provided by the NYPD.

According to footage, as the victims attempted to flee the scene, suspects opened fire.

According to police, Pena was struck in the torso by a car and died later at Bronx Lebanon Hospital.
