The Jobs of the Future

What do home health aides, registered nurses, and operations managers have in common? 2 things. All 3 jobs rely on the successful management of human relationships, and all 3 jobs are expected to grow by over 100,000 over the next decade. They are, quite literally, jobs of the future.

What else can we expect from the future of work? Aside from skill in navigating human relationships, the ability to work creatively with technology will also empower people to have a successful career. Being able to visualize data and solve complex problems will get a young professional far in life. Software developer jobs are anticipated to grow by over 370,000. Market research analysts will add 150,000 new jobs by 2031 as well.
One detail hanging over all these facts and figures is the role of technology. Take remote work for example. When the pandemic hit, digital technology made it possible for work to continue far more easily than it would have in the past. Now that pandemic related lockdowns are mostly over, remote work is seen as a desirable perk in certain jobs. Younger workers especially enjoy the opportunity to work from home. They have better morale remotely.
