Christian McCaffrey’s girlfriend Olivia Culpo on Super Bowl chances
Olivia Culpo thinks the stars are aligning in favor of a Panthers Super Bowl win.
During a recent encounter with TMZ Sports, the girlfriend of Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey was asked about quarterback Cam Newton’s return to Carolina and if the postseason could be within reach.
“With Cam Newton back, do you think he and Christian can lead the Panthers to a Super Bowl?” the photog asked Culpo, to which she replied, “Yeah.”
Newton, who was drafted into the Panthers’ 2011 draft, spent his whole career in Carolina from his time in college until his release on March 2020. After signing a one-year contract with the Patriots, Newton played for New England in the 2020-21 seasons. He was then released by the Patriots in August.
In April, the Panthers traded quarterback Sam Darnold to the Jets. Darnold struggled to stay in the center, despite Carolina’s strong start. During a Week 9 loss to the Patriots, Darnold suffered a shoulder injury, opening the door for Newton’s eventual return.
Newton scored quickly two touchdowns during his Panthers’ first match. This helped Carolina beat the Cardinals in Week 10. Although the Panthers fell short last week against the Washington Football Team, they’ll have a chance to get to .500 on the season with a win over the Dolphins on Sunday afternoon.
While it remains to be seen if Culpo, 29, will be in attendance for Sunday’s game, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model has watched McCaffrey, 25, in action over the past few weeks. In fact, she posted a cheeky message about the Pro Bowler’s backside when he took the field against Washington last Sunday.
McCaffrey has been with Culpo for two years.
