Suspected Pulse nightclub memorial vandal Mark Anthony Henson arrested

According to a report, Tuesday’s arrest was made for setting fire to the Orlando memorial to the 49 victims of the Pulse nightclub massacre.

ClickOrlando reported that Mark Anthony Henson (64) was charged with criminal misconduct in connection to the Oct. 12 fire that destroyed three banners attached to the memorial wall.

OnePulse, the organization that manages the memorial’s operations, reported the vandalism first.

The organization provided video footage of the crime. It showed a vandal sitting in a wheelchair setting part of the memorial ablaze.

The wall also displays messages, photos, and flowers.

Gunman Omar Mateen opened fired on the LGBTQ club, killing almost 50 clubgoers. The incident occurred during a three hour standoff with law enforcement.

Mateen, a leader of the Islamic State, was shot to death by SWAT team personnel who responded to the shooting.
