‘It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas’ in Lindenhurst
Sunday Dec. 4 marked the 53rd anniversary of the annual Lindenhurst Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
The event took place on Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst’s downtown area.
The street was filled with families who were excited to see not only the Lindenhurst Fire Department parade floats but also “jolly old Santa Nick.”
Mayor Tom Brenna gave a “merry” welcome speech to all the residents in attendance.
The tree lighting ceremony is just one of many traditions held in Lindenhurst throughout the year.
