Long Island feels early effects of Hurricane Sandy
Long Island residents are bracing themselves as Hurricane Sandy, which is on track to be the biggest storm to make landfall in New York, makes its way up the east coast. The early effects of the storm have already began to take its toll all across the island. Flooding, storm surges, power outages, downed trees and increasing winds are the main concerns for residents of Long Island. As the day progresses, conditions are expected to get worse and residents have been urged to take precaution.
