Hofstra debate attracts diverse crowd to Hempstead
Debates are often referred to as political theater. Like good theater, the Hofstra presidential debate had a colorfully diverse cast.
Hofstra University journalism and photojournalism students spent debate day interviewing and photographing people who came to the campus in advance of the second presidential debate. The entire university buzzed, with members of the media, historical re-enactors, a wide range of security and even protesters.
The following is a sampling of those who came to Hempstead to play out all the roles that make up a democracy.[jj-ngg-jquery-slider gallery=”40″ html_id=”about-slider” width=”640″ height=”450″ center=”1″ effect=”fade” manualadvance=”true” order=”sortorder”]
